Summer's coming to an end...

The weather is slightly getting cooler. No more high 30's. Only mid to high 20's and maybe a low 30 or two if we're lucky. But that's alright. I was kinda getting sick of the hot sleepless nights. At least it hasn't been a crappy summer, which I was dreading after freezing my nuts off in England and Montreal. But all is good.

I have to write about mundane things such as the weather because I haven't got alot to tell, and I want to make the post seem slightly lengthy. But enough banter. As I said, not alot has been happening. I've been working quite alot, which is alright since I really want money. It is good. I like having it. I like thinking about all the things I could buy but don't. And I might need to save as much as possible because something could be a brewing that requires it more than my secret dvd cover that I stash it all in...

I've also been doing quite alot of exercise. Still riding my bike everywhere, and playing squash a couple times a week. I haven't been blading for a while, and I'm really annoyed about it. I don't want them to sit in the corner and gather dust. But I just haven't found the courage to go during the day, and since the Fringe has been on, I haven't had too many free nights to rome around the streets. In saying that though, the last few days I haven't been riding that much, and I'm paying the price. While I don't doubt that I'm getting fitter, I need to ride to get rid of all the gunk in my chest. I don't really cough up alot during a game of squash, which is where the riding comes handy. It's really the only time I cough alot up. Even more than when I do physio. So for the last week I've been feeling quite tip top, but over the last couple of days I've noticed that I've become quite clogged up again. So more riding it is.

I haven't really seen a whole lot more for Fringe. Just hanging out and seeing people. No real events. I did see Space Cowboy though, who is a dude from Australia who swallows swords and bends spoons. Pretty cool stuff. I've also seen Kate's play, Low Level Panic, and it was absolutely awesome. So impressed. I think the rest of the shows have sold out, which is great, so I don't know if it's worth me recommending it to anyone. I have another play that I'm definitely going to, Lucy's, which is called Queen. It's also been getting great reviews, so I think that should be another good one to see. It's being done at Worldsy, so if you can, get your rumps down there to check it out. Then this weekend is Womad, which means yet another big weekend. Not that I'm complaining, but it will be nice when all this is over and us humble Adelaidians can go back to living the way do; quietly but nicely. :)

So yes, I think that just about wraps it all up. Looking forwards to having Pete and Truds here next week, so I guess you'll hear from them as well as me what shenanigans we get up to. Peace out.

very good to hear that you're doing so well! And please say Hi to Peter and Trudy from me when they come over! I'm just sharing a room with 2 Aussie guys - and they have the funniest accent. But I guess that's normal with them QLD's , eh?! hehe....

Love the dress-up pics jaanie. I always thought those sisters were ugly - why'd they bother dressing up? :P
